Default I hope I never "finish" this quilt!

After an 2 month involuntary hiatus, I finally am able to do some quilting again (woohoo!) and knocked out this UFO that has been years in the making, although "finished" isn't quite the right word...I've attached a bunch of souvenir patches, pins, and even smashed pennies from different places, events, and attractions that I have visited. I hope to keep added new things to it, and when it's full, I'll just add another row all the way around! So the goal is to never finish it!

It is made out of old jeans (front and back), with a layer of W&N (yes, it does weigh a ton, lol!) that is going to be my "car quilt" for camping and picnics and such.

It's lovely, JJ! So many memories! I love that you'll be using it, but I hope you take care of it, too, because it's really beautiful.

Wow, it is really unique. I hope it is layered with as many happy memories as you can fit on it. Make sure you history the back so others no how unique this quilt is.

And what a great pattern for attaching the souvinirs - you've got large squares, small squares, rectangles, and triangles. Every patch or pin will fit onto one of those.

What a treasure! I hope it keeps growing, too. I love my smashed pennies … nice to see yours.
