That report was news? Wow. Last time I checked, those of us in the northeast have experienced colder than normal temperatures in winter, up and down temperatures, above normal precipitation, and generally expect to have to bundle up. Most of our snow days are in January into February, and can I just say that spring making a slow appearance is par for the winter course.
I do like the fun sound of "polar coaster," though. Beats "polar vortex," which I think we all grew tired of hearing.

Here in the part of the forest we live in it gets cold in the winter, cool in the spring and fall and hot in the summer. Winters here we get temps of -20 with the wind chill it's even colder. Snow sometimes between 3 to 6 feet, ice packed under that several inches thick. Spring we get rain, Summer we get around 2 weeks of 90+ degree days, rarely any temps above 100 degrees. Fall is just perfect, not to cold, not to warm you can open the windows to air out the house.
Funny thing is I always thought it was just the weather.
