Patg; both lovely. Hexigon quilts are always a challenge at the binding because they don't have straight edges. Nice solution.

Patg, I really like the yellow centers on the Dresden plates. A perfect choice. Lovely finishes and inspiring to keep pressing on to more finishes.

Conchalea....love the red/white finish. It’s beautiful. I use to do all the binding for my SIL’s charity quilts so I totally get K’s enjoyment!

Patg...these are both truly beautiful quilts. I admire those who hand quilt. These are the perfect quilts for that.

I picked up one quilt Tuesday from LA’er and binding is ready to go on this week. Also, dropped off two quilts I finished...one is the BH mystery and the other is the King quilt I just finished and had to wait for backing. So, I’m off and running again on my next quilt project. Yah!

Keep up the great work everyone!!

~~~Hiding my face~~~~I should have joined this thread a month ago but well...too many reasons to list and they are all hiding in various locations from me. Goal for the next week is to finish the PL top I'm working on now. One row left to assemble and then the last row of 7 blocks to create, assemble and then ready to baste. Backing fabric arriving Sat so that's the next step. Glue baste the 4 tops and then quilt. Not going to do heavy quilting... but more than "just enough."
We have been anticipating a move for quite awhile and DH has packed up lots of my UFOs...yep...out of sight, out of mind. Ok if I don't count those?
Patg- lovely finishes!
Teen- great job keeping those projects from turning into UFOs,
Julienm1- welcome!
I’ve got two new projects to finish up this week (trying to follow Teen’s example and prevent them from becoming UFOs). Then I can get back to work on the UFO that I chose for my next UFO finish. I had a bit of a squirrel moment earlier this week and started a new improvisational piecing project with my crumb scraps and also pulled out the scraps I want to use for the next Debbie brown color block quilt and also pulled out some doodle drawings that I had intended to turn into my next new art quilt project, and also my fabric arrived for my Helen Godden 2018 quilt along, which I was going to start this month, too. That’s 4 new projects plus one UFO to work on in Feb. Oops.
Well let's just call them WIP's on vacation, then!
Since I visited my daughters this weekend I'm self-isolating from K to protect her health. I've completed what I can on the RWB back & added borders to the top. This Sunday or Monday I'll go to K's to piece the back. Then we'll sandwich it & I'll bring it home to quilt.
With the RWB on hold I decided to pull out the UFO I cut out last January before I packed my house for the move. I bought Solstice by Stonehenge fabric & the pattern is Star of the Show by Cozy Quilt Designs. I forgot my plans for the blocks & had to read through the pattern & look through my fabric to put it back into my mind. I think I have it straightened out & sewed 8 subunits of the main block. I need 54, so I have a lot to sew. But at least I'm working on it again.
