    Unhappy Frog stitching continues

Took care of half of the block sizing issue for the green blocks. All 21 are the right size. Just finished measuring the 21 blue blocks and oh crap, same issue. So made a good cup of coffee, had a biscotti, and now ready to grab my "redesign tool"* and repeat what I did last night. Is this considered muscle memory?

I'm in the same rut as you. I've ripped the sashing off my blocks so many times, I'm surprised the fabric doesn't cry. LOL

I am not a big fan of frog stitching but when you have to do it , it is a job that has to be done. I have a UFO that was about have quilted when my Mid arm machine just up and dies and left the bottom of the quilt a snarly mess. Of course I didn't notice it until the machine stopped and by then I had a big mess. So I set it aside to frog stitch at a later day. Just remember you are strong, you are brave and you are beautiful and you can do anything.

I do a lot of frog stitching at times. I wouldn't have to do so much if I would stop when I notice an error.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday and a couple of hours today trying to make a single block for a sampler quilt. If I had turned off "rounding" (to nearest 8th or 16th") in EQ, and used a full ¼" seam allowance instead of the scant ¼", I might have gotten the 8½" block I needed instead of the 9" block which I didn't want.

I was not going to frog all 25 blocks to redo, so I thought I'd try paper piecing.

All those HSTs - I don't even know how the paper strips were still holding together after all the unsewing I did on those five strips. Ughhhhh! I don't paper piece often enough to be proficient at it and I'm not sure that I ever want to be!

But I do have a just about perfect 8½" block, finally.
