Pulled out my Nifty Fifty 17 Swap Glow in the Dark Snowflake pieced quilt out of the dark closet. Waiting to see if the quilt blocks still glow in the dark after having exposure to the light. Has anyone else used this fabric? It was around a few years ago. I am having a hard time posting the photo as its in my icloud. Any suggestions? It is up on my website but not sure if I can post that here. I am new to the forum.

I love glow in the dark fabric! I have several yards of white Fairy Frost by Michael Miller. If a pixel quilt calls for white, I use it! My nautilus pixel quilt glows white in the dark. The fabric description stated that it would last for several washings.

I believe that one can put a link to website in your signature. Another option would be to put the picture in your profile album. When logged in, click on User CP in the tan bar in the upper left of the page. Then in the left column, there is a section called Networking then there is an option/link to Pictures/Albums. After creating and loading the image, open the image and copy the URL. You can then post the link in a post.
I'm including my usual answer for how to post images. My guess is that since the image is in your icloud, that it may be too large. I am not sure if you can directly link to an icloud image or not.
We like pictures. In order to post pictures on Quilting Board, you will probably need to reduce or compress the picture to a file size that is smaller than 2MB. How to post images can be found at https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach...020-01-17-.pdf and on an ipad at Posting Pictures From an iPad
Don't forget to scroll over to the far right to find and click on the "Upload" button. As shown at Standard Sewing Machine Co. Paragon
I have found that only the big red "Reply" button or "Quote" work to give me the paper clip icon to work for adding pictures.

Some additional info regarding reducing images at post #4 and images for the scroll and upload button can be found at #5 of quilt block ID?
Another way to post pictures can be found at 2021/2022, 2.5” Birthday Swap
And how to use an ipad to post pictures can be found at Uploading photos
Or simply - Make sure pictures are smaller than 2MB
Click on red "Reply" button
Click on the paper clip icon
Click browse - choose picture/s. (only 5 allowed per post)
Once they show up as being loaded, Scroll over to the right side and click on "Upload"
After the pictures show up as being attached, you can close that window and go back to the screen to finish posting your post.
Some additional notes -
The photos generally need to be reduced to less than 2MB in size. I have heard of people sending an email to themselves as it will ask if you want to reduce the size.
I have an android phone and when I tried to reply on Quilting Board while in mobile view None of the options for adding pictures was available. However, there is an option down at the bottom left of the page that is for Full Site when I tapped on "Full Site" It then looked like the way it looks on my lap top. So it would have the Red Reply and the Go Advanced options.

Thank you for all the info on posting photos. I have a lot to learn since I am brand new here. I will work on it this weekend and try to get a photo up. How do you create a signature where you can add your website. The website is our Nifty Fifty Quilters group site and does not promote anything but a quilting community.
Thanks again,
Teresa

I actually looked at Nifty Fifty website, but couldn't find your quilt yesterday, then reread your opening post and found the blocks (<-link) and then the quilt http://www.niftyfiftyquilters.com/im...17teresa22.JPG

Hi Janey,
Thank you for posting a photo. I did 50 of the same snowflake. I traced my pattern on freezer paper, ironed it on the background and hand appliqued them. I did the Virginia state blocks. Then we swapped them out across the country. You found my old website. My son created a new one which is based on quilters community and support along with sharing all our quilt block photos. I am new here. I just discovered the tags. Is that were I put my name on my replies? Can I put my personal website there too?
Thanks again for finding the photo.

What are tags?Tags are a useful way to search for threads with similar subject matter and content. This complements the normal search system, which searches only for certain words or phrases and/or posts by specific users.
To use tags, you add words or phrases to threads to help describe the content. For instance, if the subject matter is 'photography' then you can add the tag 'photography' to the tag list. But you could also add tags like 'digital image', and 'camera' (depending, of course, on the nature of the thread).
This will categorize this thread with all other threads that have matching tags, whether or not they have the word 'photography' in them.
Who adds the tags?
Tags are initially added to threads by the user who started the thread. Other users may also be able to add and remove tags.
How do I use tags?
Tags are displayed in a box near the bottom of a thread page. Clicking on a tag will allow you to view other threads that have the same tag - and which may be related. Clicking on the word 'Tags' in the top of the box will take you to an overview page with a 'tag cloud.'
This cloud allows you to see which tags are the most popular - the larger the word, the more times it has been used on threads within the board. There is also another tag cloud on the advanced search page that shows you the tags that have been searched for (or clicked on) the most.

Since I don't have a website, I think that if you put it in Optional Information that it might only show in your profile (if someone clicks on your user name), but it might also show as a signature when you post.
