Wow! That is just gorgeous! You did great for the first-my first looked like a 6 yr old did it! Love that pattern.

Yes, I know how it feels to be addicted to quilting. So many patterns, not enough time. Your quilt looks perfect on your old fashioned bed. Keep quilting- there's something to be learned in every quilt you attempt.

Thank you. The pattern is called the Dresden Plate. the parts of the plates are pieced together then the whole piece is appliqued to the block. It's no wonder AFTER doing the top for that class I decided I needed a hand applique class! :) That wasn't bad enough, then it took me 2 weeks to summon enough courage to attempt the scalloped binding! Great lessons were learned! I'm not sure knowing what I know now (that I didn't know anything about quilting lol) that I would have picked this for my first quilt.
