What would you do if you went to a dealer and they had one person working there that really didnt seem to know much about the machine. She kept saying I dont know I dont know. She wouldnt show/couldnt me how to use it.
I was so excited to visit this particular dealer but left really annoyed.

i agree. I am so tired of sewing machine shopping. This is the second dealer in my area that I left his/her shop feeling disgusted. I may have to roll out the cash and buy a high end bernina, At least they know how to use the machines.

Amen. It's bad enough getting rotten service after a good sale. If it were me I would say "no sale".

or maybe she was just filling in for someone and is not usually doing that side of the business..
i know at my dealer, they send all thier workers to schools on the machines they carry...they have 3 full timers and they know thier stuff...

I am constantly amazed at people who start a business and apparently know nothing about keeping in business. There have been several businesses that have failed in my town due to word of mouth about customer service. All it takes is a few unhappy customers to ruin a small business in a small town.

I think I would have asked if she were new? Did she usually work there? Was there a back up person? I most definitely would have let her know that there was a problem with her not knowing the machine. If it was a case of a family emergency, I would not penalize the store, but if this was a regular occurance, I would let the dealer/parent company know!
