I just bought my LQS floor model of Qbot! I'm excited. I got it for $3000 off as it was their demonstration model. I'll get it the middle of next week. I don't have a long arm (mine is the 9" TL Juki 98Q), but it will work for it and work later when I upgrade to a larger machine.

What can I say, I love gadgets! And I've been looking at it for a while. When I got the email with the price, I couldn't pass it up. Wish me luck!

You are going to just love your new Qbot. Did you also get the 4D Quilt Design Creator software? It'll allow you to create your own designs, including designs with background fills like stipple and crosshatching. I've had mine for a year now and really enjoy using it. Also, make certain the Qbot is version 2.07 or greater. If not, you'll be missing out on some useful features. But you can send it in to be upgraded for a small fee, if it's still version 1.3.

Right now I have no idea exactly what I have! I haven't even seen it, I called the store when I got the newsletter and told her I wanted it. I guess when I go over there (I live about 25 minutes from there) I'll go in and ask what I actually bought!).

I've dl the manual and frame instructions from the myqbot.com site so I can start preparing myself for it. For $1999 though, I couldn't pass it up.

It's not hard to do. Just make sure that you have all the installation info and equipment that goes with it. The only problem I had was with the guide wires --you need an extra set of hands to help. I set up several of these in different shops.

Congratulations! I know you will really enjoy it. Can't wait to hear more about it after you get it & play with it some.
