I've just put borders on my quilt. I put it on the bed and I think it is a bit too long. I was trying to measure for a queen size and I guess I should have put it on the bed before I added all of the borders. The width is OK. Question - should I take the top and bottom borders off? I'm going to try to post a picture.

I would leave the borders on.

How long is it? You could always dress the bed with the pillows UNDER the quilt!

Otherwise, you could take the top border off and fold/sew the top under to indicate that is the top, binding around the sides and bottom to keep consistency.

If your beautiful quilt is so long it will be bothersome, you could remove them or you could make your top and bottom borders smaller.

I love the way it is right now!

I'd leave the borders on. I really like them and love the way the finish off the pattern.

It's 107 inches long.

You can always fold extra under your pillows! I can't have a quilt that's too long. Mine are always too short and my feet stick out sometime during the night. I would be in heaven to have one that is "too long".

It's beautiful!

I was thinking about that, but wondered about the corner 4patch blocks. Would I take them off?

I like it as it is, and think that it would look unbalanced it you took off the top and bottom borders. I would just fold some of it under at the top under the pillows, as some of the others have.

I do that when I am sleeping under mine anyway, so that I am not grabbing the top of it under my chin in my sleep.
