Congrats. My husband bought me the Ruby 2 months ago. I love it. I am using to quilt my layers together. With the embroidery unit. You will really enjoy it. Have Fun.

Good for you and "Ruby". Now, maybe someone can help me - a lot of my friends have Janome machines and love them. I was looking on Amazon at Janome machines that were $249 for the "sewist" and $399 for the magnoliz 7330 and the "threadbanger". Anyone out there had any experience with either of those? I keep thinking about buying but afraid to make a decision.

You will LOVE her!!! I too have a Ruby and they are wonderful machines.....you can do some beautiful machine embroidery with this one..............remember to take the owners classes..........they are well worth your time.

This is where you will get sticker shock. You will need softwear, thread and stablizers.

Fortunately there are a lot of on-line digitizers for low cost and free designs.

I'm envious of you! But you will enjoy your Ruby, I want one next, but I have a Quilt Designer 1 from Viking.I still have lots of it to discover and use. Have fun sewing,quilting with it..:)
