Bizzielizzie, Do you think you could make a paper pices pattern of your last star? Can't seem to come up with the right dimentions. Mine is always lopsided and looks dumb.

MommaDorian, this was my first attempt at converting a pattern and only my second attempt at PP. Can't promise this is the correct way but to get yourself started, I started with a 4.5 inch block ( this includes your seam allowance) and broke sections into light, dark, batik by drawing diagonal lines. I printed off a copy of BizzieLizzies beautiful PP star and studied that. The center block I used the 4.5 inch block from quilters cache on learning to PP and just followed that. Does any of this make sense?

My Quilt Pro software does that and I am testing it now. I can post a PDF after I have tested it. How cool is that?

Here is my second Friendship Star. This one is paper pieced. I am not sure it easier, and it uses more fabric. Both ways are fun.

Here is my friendship star :!:

I am going to add the star blocks to the black/white/ bright squares from another swap. I can make three or four quilts if I add to what I have already.

Here are my stars for January. I am adding to two different collections of previously started samplers. Guess they will now fit the categories of BOM, UFO, and WIP!
