Free: Fancy Spring Dress for 18" Dolls
Found this link this morning for a darling dress for an 18" doll. Just purchased one for my GD and soon will begin making her clothing. With the right fabrics I can see a Christmasy dress in the making.

I recently ordered Nancy Ziemen's book and DVD for 18" dolls to make simple clothing. I also looked up the main patterns in the pattern books at JoAnn's and then waited for them to go on sale. Frequently their patterns 'on sale' run 1.99 but I got some McCall's when they were .99. Practically free!
PS: yes, I will post when I run across others.

My granddaughter has two AG dolls, and I have such a blast making the clothes. I also got patterns at JoAnn's when they were 99 cents.....but did splurge on another pattern that was total Victorian.....was hoping to sell some, but they didn't go over at all. Maybe nearer the holiday?

My GD's December birthday and Christmas presents will be the 18" doll I recently purchased from Nancy's Notions. I bought blond Abby but they have many others for about $20. It is well made IMHO. Abby will come complete with a wardrobe.

While recuperating from knee surgery I got looking/reading the book --Mary Francis Sewing book --Adventures of the
Thimble People. One of 6 in series from 1912 teaching home keeping ideas that are still usable.
Facinating. At the back of the book are 20 simple patterns for
doll clothes --think they may be for 16"" doll but very easy to enlarge. Simple but cute designs -very versitile.
Quite an experience to realize I owned the book for yrs and now found that it is such a treasure when I have no one
to use the doll clothes.
