Default long arm quilters

I am having a little problem with bobbins don't really know if it is the winding or the bobbins

I did purchase some off the internet

any suggestions??? After the bobbin is wound the bobbin thread pulls out like it is tight. But out of the machine it does not seem to be tight but there is a drag or a tug every so often when I pull on the thread

Check the edges, all surfaces to see if there are any ( burrs) or rough spots. You might use a q-tip and see if the cotton gets caught anywhere. You might need to loosen your bobbin tension if the ( tightness) is after the bobbin is seated in the bobbin case.

The other poster had a great suggestion.

I also wonder if the bobbin could be wound loosely? That can make it tug every so often. Couldn't hurt to tighten the tensioner on your bobbin winder just a little. When you poke the thread on the bobbin with your finger, it should feel tight.

Another thing that happens, if you drop your bobbin case, it can get bent. Or the bobbins can also get bent.

I hope you find the problem.

You said you purchased bobbins off the internet. My machine is very picky about bobbins and I only purchase them from my dealer. Try one of your original ones and see if it makes a difference.

WELL I tried all my bobbins in the bobbin case with some thread on them and about half of them were bad the rest good so guess I will be getting mine from the dealer from now on. They are not a bargain if they are no good.
