306k Jam - Timing Hook issue
Hi all
Pls can any of you help with a problem with a 306.
I sold my 306k with its original manual and it was a perfect machine having been serviced regulatly by my singer osmg with 50yrs+ experience. I only sewed with the correct needles for this machine..
I specifically told buyer to use only correct needles for 306.....you know what's coming.....she didn't and she jammed the machine.
She tried sorting but dropped a screw right in needle shaft arm.
So she called a local to her man who proported to be a osmg. He supposedly fixed it but about 30 mins after it's jammed again. She wrote this:
I think it's the time hook I've just payed him £80 to fix it and he hasn't. For some reason it keeps slipping so the needle hits the spool case I think it needs a new time hook if this the case that sewing man knew this.
I've got a photo she sent me of what she describes as "catching"....just seeing how to upload it.
She's a lovely lady and I'd like to be able to help and give her info that she needs to get this lovely machine working again.
