We are suppose to have really bad weather Sat. I sure hope it holds off until late afternoon. Kathy I can't wait to see you again. When my puter crashed I lost your phone #. And I am looking forward to meeting everyone I haven't met.

I hope the weather is not bad on Saturday. If you pm me your phone number I can call you Sat morning if you want and let you know what the weather is, otherwise I hope to see everyone who said they were coming. Here is the info again. you may want to pin a little piece of cloth to your coat so we can recognize you as a QB member.
The date is Saturday, March 5, 2011.
The first shop we will visit is "The Pincushion" in Imlay City@ 113 E 3td St, Imlay city, MI 48444. (ph# 810-724-7065). We would meet there at 9:45 am. She has offered a discount for shoppers. the shop phone numbers are included in case you need further directions.
From there we could have lunch at Nachos in Imlay City. It is a Mexican restaurant and is reasonable and delicious. After lunch, we would visit, "Sisters in Quilting" in Marlette MI at 6407 Morris, Marlette, MI 48453 (ph 989-635-0300). She is offering to do a demo, bake a treat, (Deb makes awesome cinnamon rolls) and a discount. From my house in Romeo, this shop is about 50 minutes away. Those coming from the south on M53, could meet at my house in Romeo and we could car pool.
If you have something you want to bring for show and tell please do so.

Had so much fun today. It felt sooooo good. After this past week with a funeral and all, it was fun to get together with seven other quilters and just relax and have fun. I'm dog-sitting at my son's house tonight (actually the week-end) and forgot to bring the cable to connect my camera to the computer so will download pictures tomorrow. Despite the weather it was a blast. I have 7 new friends.

Let's see if I can remember everyone who made it. I will start at the head of the table at lunch: Dquilterguy (Darrell), Chuckbere15 (Chuck), Marlene, Grammie Sharon (Sharon), GrmaMrtha1 (Martha), burnsk (Kathy), Ann and MaryAnn. We might have 3 new quilters on the Board soon.

I hope everyone had a good time yesterday. Other than the weather getting crazy on us it was alot of fun meeting everyone. I hope you enjoyed the shops. Thanks Joyce at the Pincushion and Debbie at Sisters in Quilting for the demos done. Deb's deserts were awesome. I hope we can do this again only with better weather. My two friends who attended with me are pretty close to being hooked on quilting.

Had a GREAT time. It was my first shop hop ever, and not sure how many more I can afford, but am delighted to have been able to afford this one. I had made a pact with myself to not purchase any new material this year--pact broken at the shop hop. No more pacts for me. Have shop hop (and $$$) will travel. Lovely meeting everybody, and Denilynne, we'd love to meet you, too. Perhaps a shop hop can be arranged Burton way--have to get a map to see where that is. And if one is planned your way, hopefully I'll have won the lotto by then and will then be able to afford it. I'd also buy the Dresden Plate quilt that Chuckbere15 is making---BEAUTIFUL!!! We saw Grammie Sharon's quilts in progress also. I was personally surprised to see that one of Sharon's quilts is similar to the quilt I'm in the process of finishing hand quilting. We're a lucky group, we are. Thanks again, Sharon, for all the planning and arrangements made.

:-( I am sorry I couldn't get there to. I put the truck in the ditch and there I was for 3 hours. It was really icy out here and I wanted to try to come anyways. I miss you. Glad you made it and had a great time. Talk to you soon.
