Hi Everyone,
So sorry I have been MIA again. I was rearended last friday on my way home from work so I ended up in the ER friday night to make sure no damage had been done to the shunt. Saturday and Sunday I just relaxed. Then I had an appointment on Wednesday with my neurosurgeon and Thursday and Friday I spent with Izabella at doctors and running tests and one of our dogs passed away so it has been a very rough and tough crazy week here.
I am so happy to see the progess as always. We still have about 5 weeks or so left to finish the blocks up-hope you are all still having fun :-)
Much Love & Huge Hugs
April

Okay I hate to have to do this but everyone please please if you have a problem with this swap or anyone in it PM ME!!
It is my responsibility to make sure everyone is happy and the swap is going as it should be. Life happens to everyone and we do not all know what is going on in other peoples lives. I never ever want any of my swappers to feel bad for things that are out of their control so please no negative PMs to other swappers-all questions, concerns and problems need to come to me and I will do my best to resolve them.
I thank you all again for joining and having fun in this swap. One thing we all have to realize is there is always a little risk when swapping and I can not guarantee that every swapper will follow through (whether intentionally or not intentionally). One of the reasons I have such a large sign up for this swap is so in case one or two swappers have something happen or "disappear" you still have a large amount of blocks to work with. Nothing in life is perfect and as much as I would love for this swap or any swap for that matter, to never have any issues, something will always happen-someone can't finish, they leave the board. I could go on but ultimately what I would like for us to remember is this is the "friendship" swap and that is what I want to promote here. Not negative feelings for anyone.
Much Love & Huge Hugs
April

April, what a lousy week! Hope all is well, and now running much smoother. How is Izabella taking the loss of her dog, it is so hard on them, they are so tender-hearted. Give her a hug for me.

Hope this week is better for you, couldn't be much worse. Take care of yourself.
Lucinda

All my blocks that I've received F8's from swappers are made and mailed! They went out this morning. I will be posting pictures soon and I took pics of the grownup blocks that I've received as well.

Wow! You're on the ball. I still have a LOT to make... but each one sure is fun. It's taking a while also 'cause I gave myself the extra challenge of trying out a new paper piecing block on each F8. Next time I'll whip 'em out quicker. I sure am getting good at paperpiecing now though!

I don't feel that I'm on the ball, just focused! It was taking over my life and I needed to get it done! I bought a Grandquilter machine and frame over two months ago and haven't had an opportunity to work on it! Now I can! Yay! Oh and a baby quilt to get done this week for the next grandson due in Feb. :) Baby shower is next Saturday so better get cutting! Thankfully I tie my baby quilts!

I've also got my blocks finished that I've received F8s for. I wanted to get them done and out of the way, because now, I'm making Christmas gifts. (I'm currently working on my grown-up son's quilt that I didn't finish from last Christmas. I'll be so glad when it is finished. My son chose a design from a Q-Bert game, and I took on the most difficult quilt I've ever made. I sure need encouragement to finish it, but at last I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel.) You can see a pic of it in the picture section!
