This week I am presenting a Kansas Dugout quilt block. This one is differant tho as you will need to cut the center of the KDs(kansas dugout) narrower than usual. For a 1 1/2" block I usually cut the center to 3/4" but this one I want the center to look like lead in a stained glass picture. So I cut them 5/8" which results in a 3/8" center. This may seem small but remember you don't cut them down til after the center swatch is sewn onto the first side or swatch. If you are using a 2 1/2" template then you will use the 3/4" cut down which will result in a 1/2" center. This gives the quilt block a really cool look!
I hope you all enjoy this week's quilt blocks! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! I am happy to help!
KD = Kansas Dugout block HST = Half Square Triangle blocks
BTW - Sarabeth is my DDs name.
