Angelia, thanks for posting this tute. I recently raided my light strings for a Bonnie Hunter quilt and realized how many dark strings I have. This is perfect for an upcoming retreat and I can get it prepped.

I was lucky yesterday. I went to an estate sale and got two garbage size bags of strings for $3.00. Now i am sorting lights/darks and ironing. After lunch i can start sewing, can't wait.
I was thinking wouldn't this be a fun project for a small group. Everyone bring their scraps and machines and sew all day. What a nice variety we woud get. Angelia, thank You.

Thank you for the great instructions and photos to support! Love the quilt! I'm gathering (already!) quite the assortment of scraps and leftover 5" squares... I've been wondering what to do with them - now I know! LOL
