    I would have used school glue also. But I hadn't thought of the pressed line to use for a sewing line. That is so important. You have to easily see where to sew.

    I also would press the seam open. An opened seam in a "patch" will not show as much as one pressed to the side. The "pressed-to-one-side" seam will have a little shadow no matter how well it is pressed.
