Thumbs up I am a beginner hand quilter.

I am a beginner hand quilter. Seeing your work reminds me of all the beautiful quilts my mother made in her life time. I have tried with and without a timble. Neither seems to work for me. LOL. My poor middle finger looks like a pin cushion. I am practing on baby bibs. I have my quilt top all sewn together, just waiting to be marked and my confidence to go up. I like the fact that you do single stitches, though it seems like it would literally take forever to complete a quilt.

Thank you so much for this insight into your handquilting method. I too do handquilting but I have to use a thimble and a hoop in my lap. I love the way handquilting makes me feel and the look of it too. I will try your technique of doing 1 stitch at a time. Getting ready to baste a quilt for my daughter. Thanks for sharing this little bit of you.
Pat
PS Your handquilting is so awesome and beautiful. Keep it up.
