WOW! Kind of like making QSTs in squares instead....clever.....thanks for sharing!
If you start with a 5" square of fabric, what size 4-patch do you end up with? Do you "lose" inches like in making HSTs and QSTs?

Turns out to be a 4.5 inch 4patch. I would assume that if you wanted say 6.5 inch patches you would start with 7" charms
This is so much easier than all those little squares!

Another method I am going to have to try. Thank you for doing this. I am always looking for shortcuts and new ways of doing things and getting more accurate results. I think this is one of those.
