Great instructions I think I will try this on a baby quilt I am working on. Thanks
|
My friend just finished a baby quilt for a new granddaughter. It was one with 3-d pinwheels. I wished she had seen this idea to make the pinwheels before she started her quilt. I think babies would really love the feel of the satin. I bookmarked this idea to use at a later date. I make a baby quilt each month to be given at my quild meeting for charity. Won't they be surprised if I make one like this? Thanks for the tutorial. It was easy to understand and the pictures were right on.

I wonder how minky would work in this same application. Any one used minky? I have some bought for a backing of a baby quilt but was told it would be too stretchy to try to quilt on a home machine. Any one have any suggestions?

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but is the circle turned
in before making the gathering? I've looked at this more than once and can't see it. I know my kids, and grands would and have pulled the edges so it raveled if possible, even sucking on their blankie when very young. |
Thank you for the help...I get it now!

Beautiful and thank you for the great instructions, I have never seen this done before and it is just awesome.

You did a great job of explaining. I could sit down and do as you did, and it would be just like yours! It sure adds a delicate look to the quilt. Nice job!
