Here is a tutorial for the Little Twister. My first time and hope this helps answer questions for anyone who wants to try this method.
5" blocks and 3" borders cut [ATTACH=CONFIG]178214[/ATTACH] sewing blocks into strips [ATTACH=CONFIG]178215[/ATTACH] blocks all sewn together. [ATTACH=CONFIG]178216[/ATTACH] borders added to blocks and pressed [ATTACH=CONFIG]178217[/ATTACH] Little Twister 3½" template [ATTACH=CONFIG]178218[/ATTACH] block after cutting with rotary cutter. [ATTACH=CONFIG]178219[/ATTACH] Placement of template for 2nd block of 1st row [ATTACH=CONFIG]178220[/ATTACH] all rows cut and marked. [ATTACH=CONFIG]178221[/ATTACH] sewing twister blocks together. [ATTACH=CONFIG]178222[/ATTACH] closer view of Dritz markers [ATTACH=CONFIG]178223[/ATTACH] graph paper layout [ATTACH=CONFIG]178225[/ATTACH] sewing strips together [ATTACH=CONFIG]178226[/ATTACH] 1st block to cut by matching template lines with fabric seams. [ATTACH=CONFIG]178230[/ATTACH] 1st row of block, cut using template in order [ATTACH=CONFIG]178231[/ATTACH] Place first block on top, bring next block up to sew to keep blocks in order [ATTACH=CONFIG]178232[/ATTACH] 1st twister strip complete, do others 5 strips the same way [ATTACH=CONFIG]178233[/ATTACH] Layout of the 6 strips [ATTACH=CONFIG]178234[/ATTACH] Sewing twister strips together [ATTACH=CONFIG]178235[/ATTACH] Completed twister project before adding additional borders, if wanted [ATTACH=CONFIG]178236[/ATTACH] scraps leftover, the squares are 2½" inch that I make bowties from [ATTACH=CONFIG]178237[/ATTACH] |
