Thanks for doing this Rhonda. It took me a little bit to work through your instructions but that was only because a) it was me (LOL) and b) I have EQ7 and am not familiar with it or any other version. I did manage to find the links after a little search and am looking forward to more lessons.

What links are you talking about Bonni? I need to improve that. Are you talking about where the tools are in EQ7 as opposed to EQ5 or are you talking about where the buttons are for working on the block? Someone else may have the same problem. I need to clear that up.

quilter41 11-10-2011 11:27 AM

This was fun. Now just to remember. LOL!

BuzzinBumble 11-11-2011 06:09 AM

Super Great!

Rhonda you are an absolute doll for going to all this trouble for us! You've helped clear up some things I was having difficulty with! THANK YOU! A Big Hug sent your way!

BonniFeltz 11-11-2011 06:14 AM

Links was the wrong word to use (brain not functioning yet). I'll try to get to go through it again this weekend and be a bit more specific for you. There was a couple of areas where I had to search for where EQ7 had the same thing as what you were talking about in EQ5. I found them. Just took me a bit.

Will try to do it again after my "cooking with tea" class on Sunday.

Darlene516 11-11-2011 07:01 AM

Thanks for the tutorial Rhonda. It's very helpful and I can't wait for the next one.

sunrise450 11-11-2011 09:31 AM

Hi Rhonda, Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge of EQ5. I am looking forward to every lesson.

PokerDiva 11-11-2011 09:39 AM

Are the lessons once a week because I can't find lesson 2 or is it just not posted yet? I know, I know, I am a little OCD.

Lesson Two is coming up this next Mon.

klgreene 11-11-2011 09:53 AM

PokerDiva, you and I are sooooo alike.....hehehe I was up really really early for me, and the first thing I did was went to look for Rhonda's 2nd sampler block posted early this morning.

PokerDiva 11-11-2011 10:10 AM

I guess I was thinking it was Friday because her blocks are Fridays. It is hell to get old. Your brain is the first to go. I need to make a list. I have just too much going on. LOL. Repeat to self.....MONDAY, MONDAY, MONDAY.

purplefiend 11-11-2011 11:04 AM

Rhonda,
Thank you for doing classes for us. I have EQ6 and am still learning to how to use it. I've had versions #1,2,4,5. I like being able to audition blocks and fabrics before I cut the fabrics.

I'm trying to remember to post the Sampler at or after midnight on Thurs(Fri 12:01 am) my time. Central time. We lost the ability to add more pics beyond the original limit so I have to use reply to add more pics. I prefer to get it all posted before anyone posts. That means it works best if I do it early early in the am or late at night however you want to look at it. I'm hoping they will address this when everything dies down and I can keep all the pictures in one post once again. I don't like splitting them between several reply posts. But it is all I can do for now.

PokerDiva 11-11-2011 02:22 PM

I do like to have it first thing. Thank you Rhonda. I am on the west coast and I get up really early.

I don't know what the problem is. You could try copy and paste it to a Word doc. If that doesn't work I can make a PDF file and post it for download if that would help.

Will you start a new thread or continue the next lesson in this thread?

Thumbilena 11-12-2011 05:34 PM

Rhonda, when I go to color I get a fabric square up not a color one. What am I doing wrong?

When the palette pops up are you changing it from fabrics to colors? there are tabs on the palette window where you can change it.

Each lesson will be it's own thread. You can find them in tutorial or in Topic's list - Electric Quilt

Thank you Rhonda, it has only taken three years to get this far. I felt I was really having a brain block. Laurel

I worked with a girl who was named Verna several years ago. I haven't seen it more than that I don't think.
