I totally agree. Perfect pattern for "what was I thinking when I bought this fabric" designs. Always amazes me when those "ugly" fabrics are incorporated with other fabrics and turn out to be the perfect addition. Always heared that the "accidents" are no accidents, just new designs in process. Great job with tutes. Now I am READY to take this design on. Next charity quilt in making!!!

Bevanger 01-31-2010 04:39 AM

Bevanger have you done any more of these scrappy wonky blocks and/or did you put them in a quilt or table runner etc. If so, I would sure like to see a picture.

Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about those. Its one of those things where you set them aside and forget

 I better break them out after I finish the one I'm working on now. I was in a sewing slump it seems like forever and just now getting back into it.

Bevanger GREAT TUTE. I have to go shopping for fabric. I need it for Bev's tute. Knew I would find an excuse.

Just finished reading your tute, and I 've got the scapbox out. I have so many scrap fabs with cute little kid type designs, and I never could figure out away to use them, but too cute to throw away. Plus they were from clothing I made for my first grand-daughter and some for her little brother, and I really wanted to make them into something for them to keep. Guess I"d better get busy!! Thanks for the lesson. Carol

I have a ton of 4 1/2 inch squares leftover from other projects. I think they'd be perfect for this. Thans for the idea !

SassySewer53 06-18-2010 05:30 PM

I love this block! Gives me inspiration to work with my scraps. Thank you for sharing and teaching this!

Quilting Nana 07-23-2010 05:59 PM

I love the idea. Do you have any pictures of a full quilt using theses squares????
Would love to see.
Thank you,

Give me a bit ok? I'm straightening up my sewing room. Man, it sure can get messy FAST

Every time I "REALLY" straighten out my sewing room I can never find anything. ;)

MomtoBostonTerriers 08-13-2010 06:19 AM

Dear Professional Tutorial Maker,

Great lesson! And I love those blocks. I, too, am adding this one to my mental "Quilts To Make" list. Just based on the ideas I am getting from this board, that mental list will take me through the next 50 years.

AngieS 11-27-2010 09:38 AM

Nice!

nana katie 11-27-2010 10:39 AM

Loved your tute, very easy I will try this as soon as I can.

cherylmae 11-29-2010 08:47 AM

Hi Bev, I'm from Port Angeles, now here north of Spokane. I love that idea, what a quick way to use scraps and get a neat quilt. Thanks
