So glad this got bumped up so I could see it - Deb you are so inspiring! ;) I have questions!

- Could you use another type of soft cording other than yarn?

- This is basically couching then yes? But using a satin stitch instead of a zig zag?

I love it! :) I'm definitely trying this one! ;)

amazing, who would have thought. That is great. I'm definitely going to try that. I want to do a peacock tail and that is so it.

I'm doing a stained glass butterfly applique quilt. It uses a black background for the leading.

I really want the effect of light pouring through a window but I have a hard time visualizing how fabrics will look in a finished product.

Does this look like a good fabric for the butterfly wings?

WOW, never thought of that. I have a "How to make stained glass" book, that I had been tryng to sell forever. Now I think I will just keep it and use the patterns...LOL

Wait...I can send YARN through my SEWING MACHINE?!?! My mind has just been blown. I have got to try this tutorial!!

This is amazing. It allows you to do such intricate designs. I have done one with the 1/4 inch bias stitched with a double needle which was easy, but this is so much more beautiful.

Your "stained glass" is just wonderful. It has a luminosity that truly makes it shine, in more ways than one. Just beautiful.

Oh my gosh! Until I read this comment, I didn't "get it". I didn't realize she was actually sewing with the yarn! For some reason, I was understanding that you laid the yarn down and zig-zagged over it. That's why I couldn't figure out the photos. This is awesome! My world is changed. :-)
