So glad this got bumped up so I could see it - Deb you are so inspiring! ;) I have questions!
- Could you use another type of soft cording other than yarn? - This is basically couching then yes? But using a satin stitch instead of a zig zag? I love it! :) I'm definitely trying this one! ;) |

I'm doing a stained glass butterfly applique quilt. It uses a black background for the leading.
I really want the effect of light pouring through a window but I have a hard time visualizing how fabrics will look in a finished product. Does this look like a good fabric for the butterfly wings? |
WOW, never thought of that. I have a "How to make stained glass" book, that I had been tryng to sell forever. Now I think I will just keep it and use the patterns...LOL

This is amazing. It allows you to do such intricate designs. I have done one with the 1/4 inch bias stitched with a double needle which was easy, but this is so much more beautiful.
|
That is awesome and such a neat way to make it! Thanks :)
|
How amazing and what a great way to do it. thank you thank you thank you for sharing.......

Your "stained glass" is just wonderful. It has a luminosity that truly makes it shine, in more ways than one. Just beautiful.
