how beautiful, I'm going to try it this week end. I've seen it in a book and by passed as I'm pretty new and thought no way can I do that. Thank you so very much for the lesson.

I found an error, and I can no longer edit :(. When you cut the strips you will sew onto the side they have to be at least 1/2 and inch bigger than the side you sew it to. The first strip should be 2 1/2 inches not 2 inches like I said. It is best to go about an inch bigger.

I feel like this tutorial isn't that great. My poor DH was able to make the block but it seemed hard for him. I probably shouldn't make too much out of that. The first thing he said me was ,"Is this the inch mark?" Right after that he used the 1/8 mark as the 1/4!!!! You guys are much smarter than that ;)

Thank you, I have it booked marked. This will be project number 1285! LOL!!

Oh I love this, it looks pretty simple if you keep your mind on it........oh boy do I drift off the mark. But I want to try it, too. What size did you block end up or do you just keep going until you get what you want??? a OBW? or make many smaller blocks ??? curious

I stopped when I got to 12 1/2 inches. With all those seams and my 1/4 seam so far from perfect I would never be exact enough to make specific size.after the first few layers you don't have to think too much!

I'd been admiring your avatar - thanks for the tutorial! I'm going to try this on a doll quilt I'm making for my daughter for Christmas...
