I do these windmills without the twister tool - no waste, no tools to buy and very quick.
The tutorial link above is a good one for the no-tool method, but the concept is easy to grasp to do them in any size your squares are. I have to say that I don't see the point of buying a special square and wasting half the fabric when it's easier and more economical to cut the blades by hand! |
