I am new to quilting; What does HST's mean? and since I'm asking can anyone tell me what a ufo is? sorry to be so ignorant.

BTW I love this way of making the triangles.

HSTs are half square triangles and ufo is unfinished objects I think. there is a list of all hte abreviations here on the board somewhere. I'd have to look to find it.

I'm glad you like my way of doing the HSTs. I think it is easier than the other methods.

Rhonda, I received your templates quite a while ago and I want to thank you again for them. I have not used them yet as I had a suck your life away job that didn't leave me much quilting time. I remedied that thank goodness and am starting to quilt again. I have a question about your tacking, can you go into more detail about that? Thanks

I put a stitch or two in the same spot and that is tacking. I put a tack on the edge where the seam will go through. Then I tack across anywhere seams meet. This helps to keep the fabric from moving. It's best to put the tack where the seam is going to go through. That way you dont' have to take it back out.
