What a great idea to practice the new rulers out with these smaller pieces tartan! I think I might have to copy you on this one. I have tons of batting and fabrics to use up. Lots of smaller projects could be made this way come to think about it. Clutches, tote bags, strips to line a store bought dish towels, most any makeup bag pattern would be cute done like this too. Now to find the time to sort though those scraps.

Thanks for sharing this idea. I hate to waste anything, but the scraps will finally bury me if I don't find ways to use them, This is a good idea because the batting gets recycled too.
