I started my scrap rug today and it is really going rather fast. I am amazed at how easy it is. Thank you so much for the tutorial. Plan on a full size room rug if I can handle it. Thanks again and keep up the great job of showing us how to do things like this.

I see that Nancy's Notions sells cord for rugs/baskets.

This is such a super idea, and great pix with your tute!! We "just happen" to be going to Wally's today, so I will be checking out the clothesline section. :) Thanks for sharing. I remember making a yarn rug for my doll with the wooden spool "French knitting", and as someone else mentioned here, it was difficult to keep it from bowling...so I will have to be careful to not let that happen. ;) I KNEW I was keeping all my selvage strips for some reason!!!!

Check Lowe's and Home Depot for cotton clothesline too...and if all else fails, Uhaul sells nylon rope of the same size...should work, it just won't be cotton!

Great tutorial! Thank you for sharing!

I have been looking for a project like this to use up some older print fabrics that I am no longer fond of. They have nice colors/tones, I just don't care for the print anymore. Great way to use it up and not have to see the print.

I want to make larger rugs for the kitchen and bedroom.

Just have to remember to pick up the clotheline now.

Thanks again
