I did not measure the elastic...just stretched it as far as it would go and that seemed to work.

I love this idea. My husband salvaged two file cabinets from the trash,lol, we do scrap to sell. I will use this idea

I think I missed something, so, are these bags for hanging in filing cabinets??? And, if so, how do you hang them???
