Strip Work done with my Cut Down Method
#62
ok Rhonda, you are doing it to me again. I already made a small doll size quilt making just squares, then put a black sashing between them. Then I started making 6" squares and just do a few every now and then, not knowing what I'd do with them yet. Now after looking at your pictures and tut, I would never have thought of using these for a border. You are just a never ending wealth of information. Thanks.

Rhonda,
Here I thought I was unique! Well I am sort of anyway.. I just began sewing strips about 2 months ago. I have not finished all my stripping projects, but I am now on to 'mile a minute'. My scraps just seem to be mulitplying faster than I can keep up. I tried to get the guild ladies to try 'stripping' but most have no interest in it! ;) Thanks for sharing your projects and your expertise.

Your tutorial is awesome! Thanks for sharing all the great ideas with us! Makes me wanna go and play in my scraps!
I sometimes get in the mood to try to use as much of my fabric for a quilt as possible. And every now and then, I manage to hit the nail on the head!
Then, there are other times that I can't get my head out of the box and just do what is called for. In this Warm Wishes quilt top, I had plenty of left-over strip blocks because I was originally going to make it larger. I cut the blocks down and made diagonals and chopped, sewed and chopped some more to add these borders!
It was so much fun! I wish I had a creative enough mind to do this all the time.
