I can tell you that 20 strips at 3" creates a quilt that is fifty by forty inches with the stripes going vertical versus horizontal as in the original plan ... someone told me to cut the process in thirds at some point, but when I got to it, it didn''t work out as predicted - - so, just plan on halfing all the way through <wave>

CONGRATULATIONS!
Job well done in raising such wonderful young buddies!
Won't you please tell them "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE" and that my family and I are Americans who are working to make sure their sacrifice is honored, respected, and lifted up in prayer and contributions to making America the best she can be! <wave>

What a great, easy way to use jelly rolls or fabric that you don't know what to do with. Thanks for sharing and thanks to that group of new Navy Seals!!

When our offspring marry, it is just easier to "adopt" those boys and girls as our own - - after all! They married into our family - - their spouses didn't marry out of ours!
Whenever a family contains a military serviceman, the whole family "serves" - - otherwise, the soldier, Marine, sailor or airman can't do an effective job if his family isn't very supportive.
It is just good for military families to know that there are many other Americans who are on their side, praying and standing for what makes a young person choose to serve. <wave>

Hi, I have couple of questions.
1. Should the selvage be cut across or diagonally?
2. After you sew this one long strip do you cut 20" on a diagonal or straight?
I just want to get it right.
