    Thanks! I suppose you could continue around as many times as you wished and make it look like a log cabin hex. Ann in TN

    Funny you should say that.... I was thinking of doing that too on my next hexagon quilt! ;-)

    yes, fairly light interfacing, just enough to keep the fabric turned under while you sew it to the (one large) piece of fabric to create the block. Then if you want to make the block lighter, you can CAREFULLY trim away the center (from the back) and leave just a 1/4" seam. Hope this makes sense.

    The pictures make it look easy and all that machine stitching sure beats the hand stitching I did on "my" hex table runner.
    (the hexagons were much smaller, though......)

    Great instructions. Do you have a picture of the quilt after it is assembled. Would love to see how it looks before I tackle it.
