Well, it's actually not my pattern. I use an old Vogue pattern and then just alter it to how the parents like the design. Thanks, though.

I'm going to be finishing up the second baby quilt today (I have two daughters so I made one for the tute and now I'm making another so the girls each have one). Then, I'm hoping to finish up the baby quilt I was working on when I started the tute. A busy week ahead of me!

When I started this tutorial, I decided to make a quilt for each of my daughters with their birth information since I wasn't quilting when they were that young. I finished one early for the sake of posting pictures but couldn't finish the other until today. Here's the other one. It's still in desperate need of pressing but I'll get it ironed out and pinned together.

    The second quilt top.

Looking at your adorable new iteration of this wonderful pattern, I notice that the "baby clothes" are slightly cartoon-like abstractions of the real thing - which increases the overall appeal of this quilt. (Think: Teddy bears vs. real bears)

I wonder if we could convince Vogue to reissue this pattern so we can all make more of these darling quilts. How might we go about doing that???

I totally agree! I've copied the pattern onto brown kraft paper to make it last longer but I'd like to have more than one copy since this is my "signature" baby quilt. I made it a few times and then suddenly it became what everyone wanted me to make for their baby. I think I'm going to email Vogue customer service weekly. That should get them going. ;)
