Yesterday, I dug through the scrap box and the 2 1/2" strips. Made the 4 patches with a light neutral. Ran out of neutral so went hunting in the folded yardage stash. Fount ~1 yd more of the same neutral. I think there's enough left for the quarter square triangles. Busy today, so tomorrow the 1/4 sq triangles get finished.

It does take a long time to sort scarps. And some of it I wonder why I kept. Didn't make much of a dent.

For anyone who still wants to do this I would read Judy's instructions carefully for the fabric choices. I didn't follow it too well and some of my blocks don't look right. But all in all they look fine. It was so much fun!

Haven't made cookies from cake mix in decades! For a while I and all my friends were wild about making them and sharing different variation. Thanks for the reminder.
