I am really wanting to do at least some of these stars (okay a lot of them) (okay maybe even all of them). I have to wait until some current time sensitive projects are finished. I had even looked in my stash picking out the perfect material. But I got to thinking I had collected men's neck ties for a while thinking the perfect project for them would come some day, and I think this is it. I am laundering them now (hadn't had the courage to do it before in case they get ruined) I had even stopped collecting them thinking I was being to close to a hoarder, but think I need to start again since I don't think I have enough fabric for all the stars. I will likely do a solid black background to allow the scrappy nature of the stars to shine.

I have completed two more. Whoever said this was addicting was absolutely right. Possessed?? Can't wait to get the next one done. Flip to the next page while assembly quadrants of the current one. And I have other projects that I NEED to complete. This is California.

    This is Arizona.
And the four so far. Have to go back and do Arkansas.

Now I must get busy on Christmas presents!

Those are great! Love the colors and the awesome use of fussy placement of fabric.

I started on my Oklahoma block, (my first one) even though my current project isn't finished. The star is about 1/2 done, I also did some fussy placement. I also altered the block slightly.

I dried my tears, and wound the bobbin and resewed the seam, so here it is my Oklahoma block, I changed it a little, and it is made w/ old neck ties.

What awesome blocks from all of you!! Wow. They look completely different when done in those various fabrics. I couldn't pick a favorite. I'm starting to put some of my blocks together into different projects: bed runner, table topper. I promise pics when they're finished. Watching all the blocks being made is keeping me motivated to finish my projects.
