Seeing this block and QuiltingNina sue's - I really like the reds together instead of alternating.

Thank you Podunk Princess, stepping a little outside my comfort zone for this one, as other on this thread will attest to I love florals especially roses.

It's so interesting how the placement of the fabrics and the different values of the fabric can change the look of this block so dramatically. I could make a quilt using just this one block! I'm re posting a picture of my Alabama block however after looking at everybody's block I decided to change the center fabric to a pinkish batik. I been waffling on my fabrics since this thread started. Here's my version 1 Alabama. Will post version 2 when it's done, maybe tonight.

    Hi

I was not sure on the colours I picked at first but after completing my first star I am very happy with the colours, I have completed 1,2,4,8, and they went together with no trouble I sat and sewed and unpicked number 3 that many times last night till I got 1/4 of it done, getting the colours right and the pattern correct, I hope this is the nly one I have trouble with.

Oh what nice eye candy! I love what everyone has done with this star. I have two more pieces and I can put mine together, I like what I see with mine so far! They seem to go together quickly, I am doing mine 8".

It's OK. The first one is always the most difficult.
