Hey There . . . I've been shoppin' the stash & decided to bust it a bit by a self-imposed challenge; here it is:

'STEELERS NATION' is in perfect alignment with the 'STARS'

    The Challenge:
    (1) embroider or applique the team emblem in the 'nebula',
    (2) pepper the secondary colors (red, blue, gray, & white) within the Earth's 'atmosphere', &
    (3) include NFL licensed Steelers' fabric throughout the 'galaxy'.

    Seeya' In The Milky Way . . . GP ! ! ! !

Mirabelle, can't you cancel your order and order again?

GP, good luck with your self-imposed challenge! I hope it works out

I have the book but am considering the DJ and probably shouldn't start both. I wouldn't be able to do Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt...oh, I have such a hard time starting too many and building my UFOs rather than my stash.

I think I favor the stars over dj; I have both books and CDs. Will have to wait and see what the next month brings, I am ready to move on from this month of problems into a new one with less health issues. Waiting until they can remove my cataract before saying yes...and see what the doctors think of my knee problem....like putting my life on 'hold' and doing less for a while. Have material to use for either one...

Anael I wish I could cancel my order, it would have saved me $12 oh well that's life, I get pretty good deals on free shipping and 50% off shipping so shouldn't really complain.

GGal I am with you, starting too many new projects then feeling overwhelmed when I am trying to finish some and reduce the ufo pile.

I would really really love to have 2 or 3 quilts finished before the end of the year, that way I can start 50 Stars and maybe make a start on Sylvia's Bridal Sampler at the same time. But that means I really have to stay off this computer and put my words into action.

NinaSue I hope you will be feeling better soon and back to your old self, we need you on our journeys, wouldn't be the same without your wise words and wonderful stories to keep up going

Now I am going to get off this computer and finish the last 2 blocks for Once Upon a Time so next week I can start putting it together and hopefully get it quilted by the start of October. Wish me luck

Miralbelle--you do a good job finishing quilts. We've seen some amazing ones this year!

I bought some fabric for DJ today so guess I am committed to both 50 Stars and DJ in 2014. I don't have a lot of UFOs right now since I've been good this year and not started any new quilts unless they were for gifts and had to be done. Well I started the SYE BOM, but that won't be over til next year so I am good on that.

Carriem I started a few scrappy quilts to try and tame my scrap bin, they are all Bonnie Hunter patterns so lots of piecing, silly me. My biggest problem is that I make one block to see if I like the pattern then feel as if I am committed to making it.
So far today I have managed to get half a block appliqued, put two borders on a jelly roll quilt and made 3 more stars. Now to start cutting the final border and I can put the jelly roll quilt away until I am ready to quilt it at the LQS.
Back to the grindstone for me

    Hey There Fellow SteelerFan ! ! ! !

Great lookin' Mug Rug/Poth Holder ! ! ! ! What pattern is that? Is that a PP'ed pattern or you're own creation? Since I've taken out my Steelers Stash, looking over the 50 Fab book & viewing your pot holder, I think maybe I need to re-assess my choices - back to the stash ! ! ! !
