Depending when & where the storm starts, it may be hard for everyone to get home. Be safe my friends.

Another 'be safe' from here - I can't imagine that much snow all in one go! Take care.

And to keep on topic, I'm another 9-inch-er too.
    Cheers, K

Hope that blizzard doesnt cause any trouble to anyone, Where I am, theres a strong wind blowing and its HOT. It's Australia day, and Tinight, I'm going to watch the fire works on the beach. I've sewn my first triangles to my squares and like a lot of you, they are all 9" square after being trimmed and keeping my points. Now I need to know how big to my 24 new squares have to be,(I may have to make them with scraps) so when I cut them in half, they will be right for my 9" squares. .I love how they are all turning out too. This is my first real scrappy and my plan is to do all scrappy this year...(or from my stash)

Thanks, Qltr Sue for the good thoughts coming my way. Waiting now at the doc's place.

I've decided to leave the squares at 9". I hadn't picked out any sashing or such, so can adapt. Would rather keep the points!!

i used to teach and it's just nuts before a blizzard. Something about the barometer level seemed to affect the kids. And of course, the teachers thinking about whether they could get home before the worst of it. School districts now err on the side of caution, and safety is #1.

Stay safe and warm all those getting the snow!

Judy, Thank you SO much for this mystery. I like mysteries because they force me out of my comfort zone. I'm more likely to do a log cabin when given a choice. This has given me new confidence to tackle triangles! I love how this is coming out.

Susiequilt, they work out fine. Several of us ended up with 9" after the first round of triangles. When you add the next set you have plenty of room to trim down to 12.5" and keep all your points!

I still have a few blocks to sew the last triangles on. I too am sad that there is just one more clue. But I am enjoying so much as always what Judy has put together for us. Can hardly wait to see what we are to do with the brights.

Judy, thanks so much for leading us! As always it is so much fun. And definitely a trip into territory outside my comfort zone even when I limit the scrappiness to just Christmas fabrics. But I'm loving the gorgeous blocks that result.
