Dotty..a woman on a mission. Very nicely done, and I like the idea of another border to finish the stars.
i'm debating if i'm putting stars in the corners, since mine came out so discombobbled in size. I may just go with a cornerstone. haven't got to that point yet. need to go to Walmart and get starch for last weeks step.

Lynnie, the way I look at it is....to buy more fabric I have to use some of what I have. So I enjoy cutting into my treasures. The fabric will never make it into a project unless I use it, so this thinking works for me. So I give you permission cut and use those treasures, then when you see some fabric you can't live without you can buy it. oh, forgot to add I love your quilt Dotty. I agree, there are going to be some beautiful quilts this ride.

    WIP- #2
The only way I can put the stars where I want them is to work off my design "wall".
Without the stars, the border will use up some 2.5" pieces. These will go in between strips.
    Who needs Sudoko??

DD I like love of your quilts. The first one I could not keep my eyes off the sea creatures and your stars seem to bring them forward. I think the missing pieces were stuck on the back side, we have so much static electricity right now anything is possible!
This one was changed so much with the choice of color in your " stars and Bars" it went from Christmas like, to 4th of July!

Dotty, your stars just pop of the quilt. so very pretty. just got some yellow. may do corner sqs instead of the stars. I have a lot of things I need to do and am running out of time. also, our next train rise will be pulling into the station in 3 weeks, since we voted for another scrappy. beautiful quilts ladies!

I was wondering how this quilt would look with just six center stars. Thanks Dotcalm for the picture. That would make the last border a snap. I think it would also work with just four stars (if someone was trying to cut down on them).
