Aurora, so your the one keeping the coffee hot, great job.

Just love all the different looks to these blocks. There will be some beautiful quilts in the end. Just finished mine, waiting to see what next week brings & thenI'll decide if I want to make it bigger.

Thanks Lynnie, every ones blocks are looking just wonderful. Scrappy, controlled scrappy or not scrappy, they all will be beautiful quilts upon completion. I think we all are learning a little something here too.

MamaHen, your choice of colors is great, everyones are. It makes me doubt myself, this is the hardest part of quilting for me. I don't want to step out of the box with disastrous results.

just finished the clue#3.....this is so pretty......I wonder what happens next, so many possibilities !!!!
Has anyone ever died of curiosity ...............It is going to be a long wait till Saturday, might have to go back thru the scraps/stash and start another one.

Windblown, taking chances & stepping outside our boxes leads us on to great unexpected results. I say go for color, any color, they all really go together. I have met a number of people who never change up their color choices and their quilts get "ho hum" because they are all the same. I have found that if I use a BOLD color it just makes that quilt sparkle. Don't be afraid, step outside your box, pick a color or colors you would not usually use & you'll be surprised.

I finished my blocks and am happy with the results. I guess you can consider this a controlled scrappy?
