Morning! I do feel better and I had to just let it go. I loved the quilt top. That is a huge part of the quilt and it came out ok. the back is what it is can't fix it so no losing sleep over it. Its out of the house and I am ready for another run at the mystery train. You all are so extremely kind and I can't thank you enough for the pats on the back the laughter and the wonderful support that seems to come naturally to the ladies here. I am in awe. Thanks again everyone. I am the comeback kid here and by next year should be that much better. Less errors. Oh yeah.

No errors, just different. Besides, when I first joined my quilt group I was told it is not errors, mistakes or anything else negative, it is adding character. And trust me, I add a lot of character to my quilts. I love the pictures I have seen, love the work you people have all done. Anything finished is a plus in my book. You are all great. This time I came along for the ride and still enjoyed the ride even though I wasn't making one myself. Of course now I see all the finished work I wish I had, but time just wasn't on my side this time. You are all GREAT!!!. Merry Christmas everyone.

A word of caution about speaking out loud that next year will be better ... when I turned 40 on Dec 26 (many moons ago) I told people I was looking foward to my 40th year because I was sure it would be better than my 39th. Three weeks later at the Bishop's Reception complete with silver tea and coffee service at our church following Confirmation, I slid across the newly polished floor and fractured my ankle! LOL

Elisa, the last quilt i made from this pattern, had 'veriations' to it also. and they were not on purpose. but i finished it anyway, and never told the cousin i gave it to. the very center blocks of some star squares were made backwards.
so the criss cross pattern wasn't complete here and there. i don't believe she even noticed, or cared. the colors were so magnif, and cheery, yellow and aqua, so she was over the moon just having recieved it.
i had made it in a marathon sewing session until 2 a.m. one morning. at 65, that is not a good idea, i now believe.

Ah but I am so sorry about your ankle. I however spent many moons hospitalized this year and ended up with a transplant. So my theory is this is a much much better year no matter how I look at it. I am home and healthy and well that is a grand thing all in all. So I will stick with a better year and a healthier year for all too. A good part I think is the believing in it. If you dont believe how can it possibly happen? now waiting on go for the new mystery quilt. ready to pull scraps and get whipping things out. this is exciting!

    Default Christmas Greetings!

To all my QB friends, I send blessings for a "Merry Christmas".

I only got a few of the clues done for this mystery. Will have to pick up and read the rest after the new year. Mom passed away yesterday in her sleep. Had been so hard to watch her rapidly going down hill, so am sure she is eating and dancing now. So this Christmas it will be quiet. No service is planned. She will be cremated and family burial will be next summer in MN.

    Blessings to all.

Sorry to hear of your Mother's passing Everose. I care for my mother in my home who is 94 so I know what you have been dealing with. I know you are sad but she will be watching you from above and dancing and singing. HUGS

Everose, so sorry to hear about your mother.
Linda, sounds like you had a horrible year. Glad you are doing better now.
Here are pics of some of the things I have been working on. I am hoping to finish my mq today.
