that was fun. I might be a mom of baby cockletiels, have whatched them before, I take over after day 32 and feed twice a day. let mom do those "in the middle of the nite" feedings.

We have a robins nest in a cedar just outside our living room window. This is the third year they have been there. All the neighbours come over to have a look out our window, right into the nest. The robin parents have been very nice. I've heard of some birds swooping at pedestrians and such. But our robin parents are very nice. Usually when the baby robins leave the nest, they are around the yard, on the ground, sitting on patio furniture etc. until they learn to fly. Mom and dad call to them constantly, bringing them a big fat worm about every 20 Minutes. Auntie B in Saskatchewan.

Mr. and Mrs. Robin built a next in a little tree next to my house, only two feet off the ground. I had to put a fence around it to keep my choc lab's nose out of the nest. Then I put up a cardboard roof to keep rain off the babies. Four of them hatched on May 13, and I took pictures every day to show my students. Then on the 18th when I got home from school I discovered some marauder had tossed all the babies out of the nest onto the cold, rainy lawn, and they were all dead. So sad. However, I saw Mr. and Mrs. Robin flitting about in the trees, busy making a new batch of babies, if you get my drift... Nature just moves on.

I also had a nest of robins on my high up bathroom windowsill. Also 2 babies .They hatched and were out and gone and as big as mom and dad before you knew it.
