    Next door neighbor is 72 and is scared of clowns and Halloween masks. I think it's hilarious myself, but it's not funny to her. I think the only thing I am afraid of is a mouse. Too darned fast for me. It's all out war if I should find one or even think there is one in the house. I know--it's not funny, McGee.

    My dear friend's 3 year old daughter is terrified of automatic flushing toilets. No one knows why 'n' she ain't tellin' :shock: At least you know why your DGD is afraid.

    I had a sister in law years ago, who in trying to be helpful, thought it was a good idea, to tell my then three year old DD, that if she ate her peas, she would glow in the dark! It took me years to get her to taste peas!

    I never liked clowns, but my MIL gave my son a couple pictures of clowns by some famous artist. As I said, I didn't like them but for my MIL's sake, hung them up in my son's room. Just a few years ago, I found out he was scared of them. Aaaggggh! For several years, they hung near his crib, and he hated them. I felt so bad for him!

    A chicken pecked me one time when I was about 6yrs old and to this day I am terrified of them.....age 62.

    My son was afraid of balloons. When he was 2 one broke next to him and was years before he could hold one.
