I grew up smelling that great perc coffee. It is much better than todays drip coffee. It needs to be timed (10 min.) after
it starts perking. And it is always great to have a coffee maker
to make coffee when the power goes out. Which it does here
    quit often in our winters.
My DH is a coffee lover. It flows all day long.

Wow this brings back memories of waking up to the smell of percolated coffee as a kid. Been years and years since I had a cup.

We use an electric percolator at home and a big enamel one on the boat.

"I use a electric percolator every day, hubby dosent care for coffee from a coffeemaker. He says it isnt hot enough. I got myself one of those nice keurig coffee makers, Where you can make one cup at a time. I still have to make his percolated coffee"

This is my question .. does the coffmaker make coffer hotter than the Keurig one? I have a drip with a glass pot and I don't find it hot enough and considered one of the Keurig one's but I am afraid they don't make "HOT" coffee...

I prefer perked coffee and have been using a Farberware for years. I think the coffee has a richer, fuller taste than drip pots and, yes, it is hotter. These coffee pots last forever too. We have been through countless drip style pots over the years.

I love campfire coffee -- during the winter when we have the woodstove going I'll make coffee on it with my percolator.

OMG I'm, on my fourth Farberware coffee maker. Couldn't live without it. Coffee is sooo much better. We use it every day. Stays nice and hot and does notdrip all over like Mr. C. It's really good if you like flavored coffee. We use 1 scoop flavored and one scoop regular. Hope I convenienced you LOL

    Oops two scoops regular.
