She totally trusts and loves me, follows me around. I think she thinks I"m literally her mom. She suckles on my neck. Sometimes she even makes little hickies! I have no question that she's healthy, growing and happy. But I've never seen the sucking like that before, and I'm a cat person!
My neighbor found a kitten that was very young and it sucks on blankets.
Once my daughter got a brother and sister kitties at 8 weeks, and the boy sucked on their earlobes for a few months, then grew out of it. People on catster.com say it's fairly common.

What do you other cat people say? Weird?

When I was young we had a kitty that would suckle and kneed on my Mom's furry slippers. So every time she sat down the cat would come running. She did this all her life.

Adorable! and yes it is normal for some young ones. Unfortunatly, they grow up and aren't near as needed
as when they are young. I have 7 cats and all have different
    personalities! but all independant.

I rescued a kitten a couple months ago. We figured she was about 5 weeks old. She slept on my chest for almost two weeks. Had to be everywhere I was, even the bathroom, just like a kid. I named her Lily too. Actually, it's Princess Tiger Lily. She's about 4 months old now, has grown so much but still wants to sleep on my chest, especially when I'm at the computer. Can't wait for those second teeth to come in and she's big enough not to use me as her jumping post to the next level she wants to go to. I just love to hear her purrrrrrrrrrr.

Update: Baby Lily is growing! She's now 10 weeks old, but about size of a 6-7 week kitty. She has tons of energy, with her favorite shreading Kleenex. The baby kitty milk supplement has made a difference. Her coat is now healthy. She still sucks. I've "weaned" her off my neck onto my hand/fingers, but sucks several times a day, and falls asleep with me at night sucking. Siamese coloring is coming in a little more now. Such a sweet devoted kitty!!
