I have always left my car on the drive, and jumped in it to go somewhere, even if I could walk to wherever it was. A couple of months ago, I cleared out the garage (a very big job) and I now put my car away. It is too much bother to get it out the garage unless I really need to use it, so this saves on fuel and gets me walking more

When we go to DH VA hospital, they'll have to make more than 1 appointment for the day. When we go shopping, we'll get it all done in one trip.

In South Australia at present we are paying $1.40per litre. That is the equivalent of $5.04 per US gallon. Enjoy your cheaper petrol (gas) while you can.

It is already affecting where I choose to drive to. Used to just hop in and go, now I do the math before hand ( I HATE MATH GRRRRRR) how many miles is is one way etc. As prices rise, I think many will be cutting way back on trips out, do more combining of trips around town in order to have gas to get where they "need" to go.
I drive a mini van 20 gal gas tank. I went to a quild meeting today that uses 1/2 gal of gas. I know some may think oh big deal, but......... as the price of gas keeps climbing, that half gal costs more. It adds up fast.
