    Is one side of the opening left unsewn to the back? If so, why? Does anyone know? Thanks, 80

    I have bought pillowcases like that before, where the folded part is not sewn down entirely. I always figured the factory was just being cheap! lol
    They weren't Egyptian cotton. I just took a minute and sewed around it.

    If there is a "real" reason, I would like to know, too!

    Maybe you're supposed to tuck the pillow into the "flap" so it doesn't fall out.
